JSSC Technical Graduate Level Combined Competitive Exam (JTGLCCE)
Half the prelims paper is Jharkhand alone — 60 of 120 questions on the state, before any technical knowledge is tested.
What this exam is
JSSC's graduate-level technical and professional intake — auditors, statistical assistants, laboratory assistants, inspectors, fishery extension supervisors. Notification 01/2026 carries 611 posts, with applications extended into July 2026 and no exam date announced yet.
The prelims weighting is the thing to understand before you plan anything. It is 120 questions for 360 marks in two hours, and Jharkhand State Knowledge alone accounts for 60 of them — half the paper. General Studies takes 30, and mathematics, science and mental ability get 10 each. A candidate with a strong technical background and thin state knowledge simply does not clear this stage.
Mains runs three papers: a 120-question Hindi and English language paper and a 100-question regional or tribal language paper, both qualifying at 30%, and then Paper III at 150 questions for 450 marks. Paper III is where merit is decided, and 100 of its 150 questions are your own technical discipline — economics, commerce, mathematics, statistics, physics, chemistry, pharmacy, dairy technology or an engineering stream, depending on the post. Marking is +3 and −1 throughout.

Honesty note: Adversarial verify pass pending (agent budget) — both question keys manually re-solved and confirmed. The prelims subject split (Jharkhand 60, GS 30, maths/science/mental ability 10 each), the three mains papers and the +3/−1 marking come from a syllabus audit held in the AvM backend repository, which sourced the Paper III breakdown from Adda247 and flags that it should be confirmed against the official notification for a specific post. The vacancy count is reported as 611 by most outlets and 615 by one; 611 is used. The application deadline was extended more than once — 30 June, 14 July and 20 July all appear across sources, and the last of these is shown. No prelims date had been announced at the time of writing, so exam dates are marked expected rather than announced. Applicant counts, previous-cycle results and cutoffs were not found and are shown as unknown. The technical subject block varies by post across many disciplines and is listed only generically.
